5th Annual Southeast Urban Music Conference Celebrates BlackMusic Month in Atlanta June 27th-30th 2007“Conference Moves To Bigger Hotel & New Location At The Sheraton Downtown Atlanta Hotel Atlanta”
A stronger program format, bigger parties, a host of A-list music royalty, and a prestigious venue set in the heart of downtown Atlanta, promise to make the 5th Annual Southeast Urban Music Conference the “it”event of summer 2007. The 5th Annual SUMC Urban Music Conference in Association with The Legion Of Doom Record Breakers is set for June 27th-30th 2007, as a celebratory tribute to Black Music Month. The Sheraton Atlanta Hotel Downtown will act as the new host hotel for the 2007 conference and its participants. Atlanta definitely has the bragging rights when it comes to networking opportunities in the music industry. If you look at the Billboard charts, you will see the south and especially ATL are well represented,” says conference chairman, Tony Baraka.

The 2006 SUMC registration boasted over 1500participants and offered a variety of informative seminars focused on achieving success in the business of urban entertainment. Attendees included; artists, producers,managers, promotions professionals all hoping to learn more about the business from industry pros, and vying to network with some of the today’s hottest talent. Ray Hamilton President of The Legion Of Doom Record Breakers and partner with SUMC says new things have been added for the 5th year. “All of our Night time showcases will be held at some of the Major clubs in Atlanta we are lining up some of the top talent in the country to perform at SUMC for next year we will also be announcing soon our Honorees for the SUMC/LOD Awards Dinner there will also be other surprises that we will be announcing soon.”
Another new addition to The Southeast Urban Music Conference will be the Music 101 Tour Of The Southeast according to Tony Baraka “We are planning to take it straight to the people with our Music 101 Tour we will have seminars, showcases and promoting the Conference for everyone to come to Atlanta in June so we are looking to cover 12 cities in the Southeast with a Major Kickoff in Atlanta with a major kickoff Reception at the Beginning in February 2007 what a way to kick off Black History Month because this is History in the Making with SUMC and LOD.”

Past conference sponsors such as Heineken, BME Recordings, Warner Brothers, Akadimiks and All Hip Hop.Com aided in making the 2005 conference a huge success.
